Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier Book 2 Interpreted by S D Rodrian
HOW I LISTEN TO THESE PIECES IN BED:
I have a cheap little MP3 player that has a volume range of 00 to 30 (I used 10 for these particular pieces). Then I raise the BASS & that's it.
I use headphones (not earplugs): First I drop a long white cotton sock on top of my head & let it cover my ears (because it's easier to wash that than clean the ear phones); place the headphones over the sock and tie it all down to my head with an old stretchband I cut out of some old underwear shorts. Perfection.
My little MP3 player doesn't have balance controls so I just shift the headphones around a bit until I achieve the balance I'm most comfortable with & I'm good to go (as I start my sleeps sitting up). Some people like to bother others with loudspeakers, but I'm much too nice to do that.
I use very good earplugs but the same cheap little MP3 player. Same volume. Same higher BASS. Works for me.
Of course, using these specs I'd advise YOU to keep the volume around 10 so you don't damage your hearing [if you find you did, then stop listening to loud music for a few days and you will usually recover UNLESS you keep listening to loud music for prolonged periods of time even after you find you've done damage to your hearing].
